It’s here! Labor Day Weekend and the end of summer. Don’t have any plans for this weekend? We are here to help or those of you who have to work or can’t get out of Baltimore. Here are some activities in or around Baltimore for Labor Day Weekend.
1.) Maryland State Fair
2.) Maryland Science Center Scavenger Hunt
From the Eventbrite page, “Turn Baltimore into a giant game board with this interactive scavenger hunt that combines the fun of the Amazing Race with a three-hour sightseeing tour of the city. Guided from any smart phone, groups make their way among well known and overlooked gems of the city, solving clues and completing challenges while learning local history.
The adventure begins in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and will take you on a journey among historic landmarks, sailing ships, museums, Little Italy and other great sites of the city. “Check out dates and tickets here.
3.) Charm City Pedal Mill
Feelin’ a different kind of pedaling? How about using those leg muscles to get you around to Fells Point bars on a unique 15-person bike. Charm City Pedal Mill tour routes include Fells Point (Ale Mary’s, Alexander’s Tavern and One-Eyed Mike’s are a few of the stops) and Canton (Dark Horse, Mahaffey’s, Nacho Mama’s and more). This is a bar crawl like no other.
4.) DIY Fest
The Do It Yourself Festival is an annual event that gives you a chance to learn something new, teach what you know or table your wares. Each year the workshops differ from the next. If you ever wanted to learn about meads/ciders, jams, henna, dying fabric and much more, head to their Facebook page for further information!
When is the last time you have been to a drive-in movie? My guess is…too long! Bengies is the perfect way to say goodbye to summer. Snuggle up and enjoy current movies at an unbeatable price! It gives you a reason to get out of the city as well!
6.) Renaissance Festival
Experience “King Henry’s VIII’s magical kingdom” at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Highlights of the festival include the 300 seat jousting arena hosting combat three times a day, more than 200 performers filling the village streets, taverns and ten stages.
